In this webinar, ready to use practical IT applications were displayed, that respond to the needs of the tourist establishments which are not fully satisfied with the proprietary software applications that currently exist in the market. These applications are examples of solutions based on open source software that can benefit the tourism industry due to their ability to adapt to the specific needs of each institution and the flexibility if integration with other programs.
Rubén Lirio, Head of the Consultancy Department at Yerbabuena Software, showed the Andalucian tourism professionals the features and benefits of these tools, and various success stories from within the tourism sector, which are clear examples of how open source software fits the current needs of the Andalusian tourism sector.
On this occasion, the doubts of the audience were bestowed upon the speaker during the course of the presentation, instead of the traditional single round of questions at the end of the webinar, the issues were resolved as soon as they were recieved by the application, thereby enriching the material generated from the webinar.
Rubén is telecommunications engineer and is currently serving as head of the Consultancy Department at Yerbabuena Software. In addition, Rubén has extensive experience in the consultancy field, having done consultancy work within the NOVAPYME program for more than 600 companies.
