Implementation of Andalucía Lab

The Andalusia Lab (Centre for Tourism Innovation), announced on November 28th, the start of its activities. The announcement was made through a press conference at the site of the Center for Tourism Innovation in Andalucía, which will house the future headquarters of Andalusia Lab. The event was chaired by the Minister of Tourism, Trade and Sport, and the Minister of Innovation , Science and Enterprise.

The Andalucía Lab Project, which was presented by the President of the Autonomous Government of Andalucía, José Antonio Griñán on July 8th at the Palacio de Ferias y Congresos in Málaga, was brought about with the purpose of putting Andalucía at the forefront of tourism innovation, transferring knowledge to professionals, promoting innovation among tourist businesses in Andalucía and responding to the current needs of the tourism sector in Andalucía.

Andalucía Lab starts its activities with the Consulting Lab, one of the four laboratories that make up the project, through a program of E-Commerce Consultancy directed at Andalucían tourism SME's in the sub-sector of restaurants and tourist accommodation. This initiative aims to provide participating companies with the necessary tools to enhance their Internet presence and market their product more effectively. In parallel with the start of activities, the Website www.andalucíalab.org, can be accessed  to consult all the information regarding the Andalucía Lab project. Through this website, tourism professionals will find information about events, news and innovation in tourism,  and can access the services offered.
